Parents’ Evening

Anthony Gell School Parents’ Evenings 2024-25

From September 2024 we are using new software to organise our parents’ evenings. We will deliver our parents’ evenings using both face-to-face meetings here in school and online meetings using video software functionality.

Parents’ Evening Dates

Parents’ Evening format:

Face to face parents’ evenings will take place in our main school hall between 4:00pm and 6:30pm.

Virtual (online) parents’ evenings will take place between 4:00pm and 5:50pm, the longer period allows some staff to journey home prior to beginning their consultations online, each member of  staff will be available for 2 ½ hrs in total.

Using Schoolcloud to access parents’ evening bookings and video connections.

SchoolCloud is available to use through all main device types including tablets, laptops, PCs and phones using Android and iOS operating systems.

In order to make video calls you need to have as a minimum:

• a device with a microphone and speaker/headphones
• a compatible up-to-date web browser:

iPhone/iPad: Safari, Chrome

Android: Chrome, Firefox or the Samsung Browser

Windows: Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge (Chromium – download here)

Mac: Safari, Chrome or Firefox

Linux: Chrome or Firefox

We also recommend:

• Using your smartphone for video appointments. If you don’t have a smartphone with a front-facing camera, use a laptop or computer with a webcam.
• Using a headset (or earphones with a microphone) to reduce echo.
