Young Futures Fund supports and raises awareness of mental health for children and young people in Wirksworth and surrounding areas.
It is a small charity set up in memory of Finlay Poole, a young man from Wirksworth whom attended Anthony Gell School who sadly took his life in 2021 during the pandemic whilst studying at University.
This work is supported by the Anthony Gell Foundation; providing the charitable support and oversight to support the charity.
The work of the Young Futures Fund is split into three key areas:
- Working with Anthony Gell School to develop in-school programmes
- Working with the local community to set up an out of school bereavement support group for young people and their families
- Fundraising to support the programmes of work
