We are delighted to be celebrating another very successful year of examination results at Anthony Gell School. Our students have once again demonstrated what can be achieved through hard work, resilience, and determination.

Although national progress data cannot be calculated this year, due to the absence of Key Stage 2 results, we are proud to place our focus firmly on the attainment of this talented cohort. We are pleased to report that the GCSE and BTec results achieved by students at AGS in 2025 compare very well with the national 2024 figures, accurately reflecting the strength of our school community.

At the heart of this success are the excellent relationships that have been built between staff and students over the past five years. These relationships have created a strong foundation of trust, encouragement and support, enabling students to flourish both academically and personally. Our core values have been lived out daily, guiding our approach and helping shape an environment in which every student can thrive.

Headteacher, Malcolm Kelly, said:

“We are incredibly proud of all our Year 11 students. Their achievements are the result of sustained effort, ambition, and the supportive culture that exists throughout our school. Staff have worked tirelessly to ensure every student had the opportunity to succeed, and it has been a joy to witness so many rise to the challenge and achieve so much.”

We look forward to welcoming many of our Year 11 students back into our thriving Sixth Form this September. For those who are embarking on other post-16 pathways, we send our very best wishes and full confidence in their future success. Every student has been able to develop their skills and talents. They have been encouraged and assisted to be aspirational and to achieve high levels of success.

We congratulate the ‘Y11 Class of 2025’ — their achievements have made the whole school community proud. Whatever their next steps, we know they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive.
