Students, staff and families at Anthony Gell School are celebrating another year of excellent GCSE and BTEC results, reflecting the hard work, determination and aspirations of the Class of 2026.

Students across the year group have achieved an impressive set of qualifications that will enable them to take confident next steps into Sixth Form study, apprenticeships, further education and the world of work. The results are a testament not only to the commitment shown by students throughout their secondary education but also to the support provided by families and the dedication of school staff.

Anthony Gell School has a long-standing tradition of helping young people achieve their potential, and this year’s results continue that trend. Across a wide range of GCSE and vocational qualifications, students have secured outcomes that reflect both academic achievement and the development of the broader skills needed for future success.

At the heart of these achievements are the strong relationships that have been built between students and staff over the last five years. These relationships, combined with high expectations, expert teaching and a culture of support and encouragement, have enabled students to flourish both academically and personally.

Headteacher Malcolm Kelly said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the achievements of our Year 11 students and incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished. These results represent years of hard work, resilience and determination, and every student should feel immensely proud of what they have achieved.

“This year group has demonstrated tremendous character, embracing challenges and working tirelessly to achieve their goals. Their success is also a reflection of the exceptional commitment of our staff and the invaluable support provided by parents and carers throughout their time in school.

“At Anthony Gell School, we strive to ensure that every young person is known, valued and supported to achieve their very best. It has been a privilege to watch these students grow into confident, capable and ambitious young adults, and we look forward to seeing all that they will achieve in the future.”

Many members of the Year 11 cohort will return to Anthony Gell School’s thriving Sixth Form in September, while others will make confident starts in other post-16 opportunities. Whatever their chosen pathway, they leave school equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Throughout their time at Anthony Gell School, students have been encouraged to be ambitious, resilient and aspirational. Their achievements this summer are evidence of what can be accomplished through sustained effort, positive relationships and a commitment to excellence.

The entire Anthony Gell School community extends its congratulations to the Year 11 Class of 2026.
