In order to help you to discover more about our school, we have arranged an Open Day on Thursday 5th October. If you would like to look around the school whilst lessons are taking place on 5th October, at either 9.15am or 1.45pm, please telephone or email us and let us know which slot you would prefer, so that we can arrange for student guides to be available.You are welcome to arrange a visit on another day by contacting us in order to confirm a different date and time.
Our Open Evening on Thursday 5th October will comprise of two identical sessions. Session one will be at 4.45pm and session two will be at 6pm. At the start of both sessions, I will speak to parents and children in the Sports Hall before inviting you to visit parts of the school in order to speak with staff and students.
To ensure numbers are kept to a manageable level across the two sessions, we will be encouraging parents to attend a specific session depending on the school your child currently attends. If you are able to, we would like any families with a child in Wirksworth Junior School, Middleton Primary School and Cromford Primary School to come to the earlier session at 4.45pm if possible. This will leave the later session (6pm) for families from any of the other schools. If you are unable to come to the session allocated to your child’s school, you are very welcome to attend the other one.
Parents and carers with a child in year 5 or year 6 have found these events to be very helpful, reassuring and enjoyable. I hope you will be able to join us on Thursday 5th October. I look forward to being able to meet with you.
