I have worked in marketing and management for the last thirty years, in five market sectors including Tourism (both in the UK and overseas), Food Retailing, Funerals/End of Life Financial Planning, Public Transport and Business Support Services. I have worked for companies in the East Midlands, Sheffield, Manchester, Stoke on Trent, London, as well as overseas in Europe and the USA.

I took the decision in Spring 2020 to become self -employed, and now share the responsibilities of starting up a new business arm of a communications and marketing company I jointly own with my partner.

A resident of the Peak District for almost twenty years, I live in Chelmorton with my partner Barry and love nothing better than to enjoy and explore the region while dog walking with our black Labrador, Cassie.

I relish opportunities to give something back to society. During my career I have been able to train, mentor and coach colleagues and teams to enhance their personal skills, performance and/or behaviour. In fact, during the Covid-19 pandemic I supported several graduates to improve their CV, recognise their transferable skills and prepare better for interviews.

I loved being at school when I was younger, and hope that this passion, my business experience, and a recognition that engaging in continuous personal development is as enriching now as it has always been, can be put to good use to support the Lady Manners Leadership Team in my role as a co-opted governor.
