Year 9 trip to Twycross Zoo

On the 14th of October the year 9 trip to Twycross Zoo went ahead. This trip had been organised by students from Anthony Gell’s sixth form travel and tourism group as part of their course work. As well as this being a day out for the year 9’s it also helped them with their science. At the moment they are learning about evolution, and Twycross zoo with all the different animals including its famous monkeys was the perfect place to visit. Miss Roberts, who went on the trip said that “The year nines were thrilled to have a day of learning outside of the classroom, they really enjoyed it”. The key to the trips success however, was the organization of the sixth form students. Headteacher David Baker said “I'm really impressed that they have got it all together and it's been a great success”. Its obvious that the sixth form students who organised the trip have put a lot of effort into it, but they also enjoyed going on the trip themselves and when asked said it was “A great experience for everyone involved”.
