Gail and her team offer all students a warm welcome to the dining hall. There is always a hot meal on offer, a selection of seasonal vegetables and desserts. For those who would like a lighter choice, there are sandwiches, wraps, paninis and jacket potatoes. Alongside the dish of the day, Gail will often create her own daily specials.

A “grab & go” service is available for those in a hurry or going to a lunch time club, in the Hall area. The dining service is café style so you can choose what you would like to eat. Items can be purchased individually, however the most popular method is to have a meal deal which includes a main meal with a side, dessert and a drink.

Break time service includes hot snacks, sandwiches and drinks.

Meals are created using the School Food Standards, which state that there must be a balance of the 5 main food groups. Menus are nutritionally analysed using bespoke software. Derbyshire Catering Services hold the Soil Association Catering Mark Bronze Award for all Secondary Schools.

There are three serving areas to reduce queuing, meals can be taken away from the dining area, however, students are reminded of the need to dispose of waste responsibly.

ParentPay is installed in school, so parents can top up accounts electronically or request a PayPoint card to make payments at PayPoint outlets.

Please visit the catering website to see the latest menu, which runs on a 3 week cycle.
